Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and solutions in case you run into problems with getting the blending working.

Blending is not visible

Color artifacts

If you notice color artifacts such as models having different brightness levels or shadows being too dark, you probably haven't installed the shader patch.

Make sure to install the shader patch as described in the installation steps and recompile shaders afterwards.

Blending / ghosting occurs on objects that shouldn't be blended

Make sure to unplug the material AO pin for objects that shouldn't be blended, otherwise you may notice blurring / ghosting / out of focus effects on those objects. This is due to the material AO being read by the blend effect and mistakenly interprets it as edges across the surface of your object.

You can confirm this by enabling DebugView in the autoblend material instance - it should show random colors across the surface of your object.
